Day 1: Palaces and viewpoints
Explore the Forbidden City, then continue to Jingshan Park. Keep the evening unhurried, with time for dinner and a neighbourhood walk.
Day 2: A day at the Great Wall
Travel to Mutianyu for a route suited to your group. Allow time for the journey, pauses on the wall and the return to Beijing.
Day 3: Temple and old streets
Visit the Temple of Heaven, followed by a walk around Qianmen and Dashilan. Leave time for food stops and photographs.

Day 4: Gardens and a flexible afternoon
Spend time at the Summer Palace. Keep the afternoon open for a neighbourhood walk, a favourite place revisited, or a slower finish.
